What is Hypnosis?

state in which you have heightened focus, concentration and inner absorption. When
you're under hypnosis, you usually feel calm and relaxed, and you can concentrate
intensely on a specific thought, memory, feeling or sensation while blocking out
distractions.  Under hypnosis, you're more open than usual to suggestions, and this can
be used to modify your perceptions, behavior, sensations and emotions. Therapeutic
hypnosis is used to improve your health and well-being and is different from so-called
stage hypnosis used by entertainers. Although you're more open to suggestion during
therapeutic hypnosis, your free will remains intact and you don't lose control over your
behavior ".

Why Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a very powerful and beneficial therapeutic tool. It is an altered state of
consciousness like meditation or yoga, but the difference is that in a hypnotic state you
take an active and positive role in making a change in the beliefs buried deep in your
unconscious mind.  " Hypnosis may help you cope better with certain medical conditions,
stop unwanted habits or reduce stress related to medical procedures. The effects of
hypnosis can be long lasting and can improve your overall quality of life".

How does Hypnosis work?
Under hypnosis all outside distraction are eliminated and your attention is focused on my
voice. It is this profound concentration that permits my suggestions to guide you into
your unconscious mind. The principal reason for its use is that under hypnosis you
become aware of your present behavioral patterns which gives you the ability to change
and adopt new desired beneficial ones.

What is NLP?    
Neuro-linguistic Programming:

Neuro - our experience through our five senses.
Linguistic - language and non-verbal communication
Programming - ability to organize our communication and neurological systems to
achieve desired goals and results.

NLP holds that people think and act based on their internal representations of the world
and not the world itself.  Once we understand specifically how we create and maintain
our inner thoughts and feelings, it is a simple matter for us to change them to useful
ones.

How long does it take to be effective?
Your first session will take about an hour and a half and depending in the desired
outcome, it takes three sessions on average to complete.  An overview of a
hypnotherapy session includes; a consultation to inform, educate, and answer any
questions, or concerns about hypnotherapy you may have. A full medical history is
taken, as well as answering an NLP assessment questionnaire to establish your desired
outcome.

Will I lose control?
Hypnotists do not possess the power to control other people’s minds. They guide you
into deep relaxation so that you can access your unconscious mind. In this state you are
not constrained by the inhibitions which normally prevent you from accessing your inner
thoughts and feelings. If you don’t want to reveal things that are private, you won’t. Any
suggestions contrary to your inner convictions will either be ignored by you, or you will
come out of the hypnotic state.

Can I get stuck in an hypnotic state?
No, since it is the person being hypnotized who actually induces himself through his on
convictions, just as a person cannot be hypnotized against his own will, he can bring
himself around in a split second.

Can I hypnotize myself?
Yes, and you will be thought self-hypnosis because many procedures require it. Self
hypnosis is a powerful personal tool, and is best thought by me while you are in the
hypnotic state.
